7 street runs in 2 weeks of may

Quite a bit of workout, I must say. I used the cooler may we had this year well. All of these are in North bergen /union city neighbourhoods, slight variants of the routes.

Corporte Challenge 2012

Official JP Morgan Chase corporate Challenge, the race that began it all. My 10th Corportate challenge (2001-2012 and I missed two)

central park. a nice somewhat cooler day in june.

this was my best time yet in all of the corporate challenges. which means i have a long way to go. which also means that i am getting better, or the race is getting more organized and people don't wind up stepping on each other as much as they used to.

3 miles non-stop

I haven't been running as much ever since bootcamp. It was a muggy saturday morning, but it was reasonably early, and i took this 'straight roads' route instead of weaving in and out of lanes that I usually do. A good 3 mile loop.

Nice and warm in september

80 degrees outside, and francois wanted to go for a run as well. Here’s a decent, nearly 3 mile run in central park. Took too many breaks at the beginning, that was just waiting for the traffic light to change so we could get to the park. We kept hittingthe light on the way back too, so I stopped counting at 56th street on the way back.

Getting back into the workout routine after the india trip. I must have messed up the start, because it didn’t track my initial part. I assume it must have been around 1 mile from my place to the spot along the viaduct which is where the map puts the startpoint.

Week after support week

I think I should write in reverse chronological order for this blog (especially given that a blog, by convention is always reverse chronological)

Tuesday after work, went for a  run with Wing. He took me on a different route than the one I usually take, one starting on broadway. It was also the longest run I have done, running 3.9 miles at 6.9 mph. That speed does seem crazy, because I did feel I was actually running a tad slower than usual. But at no point did I stop and walk even just a bit.

Cool day, Monday, but didn’t get a chance to run during lunch time. It had been raining in the afternoon, but by the time I got home, it had stopped and it was cool and pleasant. I decided to run a short run, butalso decided I would break the 6mph average speed barrier that I have had. West street was a good one way street to run on, but Summit isn’t that great, so I will look for a different route the next time.

With me being on support at work, I didn’t get a chance to go running all week. I wound up staying late at work during most of the week. However, I did get a short workout on Tuesday. 20 minson elliptical, and then three sets of bicep curls. Didchest and deltoids machines for 3 set each.

I woke up late on Saturday but even at 9:30 it was nice outside so decided to go for a run. Went down east and then to this spot where there’s a one way down to the viaduct. Came up the via duct and ran thru some of the nicer houses in Union city that I have seen.

July and beginning of August

Wednesday the 27th Central park run during the day. It was a warm and humid day and I cut the run short by not doing a second loop inside the park.
